Chain Wax Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By tapping “Accept” and using the Chain Wax app (the “App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Chain Wax uses your Strava ride data to calculate and track your chain-waxing intervals, letting you know exactly when to re-wax.

3. User Responsibilities

• Chain Wax will access your ride data using the Strava authorization you have already granted.
• Your chain maintenance activities are your responsibility.
• These guidelines are not a substitute for manufacturer instructions or professional bicycle service.
• We store necessary app data locally (e.g., bike IDs, wax state, and other data needed for new features). We never share your Strava data with third parties.

4. Disclaimers & No Warranty

Chain Wax is provided "as is" and "as available" without any express or implied warranty. We expressly disclaim any warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

In other words, we don’t promise the App will always work perfectly, meet every special use case, or be free of third-party claims.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Chain Wax and its owners, affiliates, or licensors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages, including but not limited to damage to property or personal injury, arising from or related to your use of (or inability to use) the App, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

6. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Chain Wax, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the App or your breach of these Terms.

7. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify you in-app or via email of material changes. Continued use of the App after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time for any reason without notice.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.
